Experiential Branding for a 1960s Rat Pack-Themed Healthcare Conference in Las Vegas
Inspired by the glamour of the Rat Pack era, the 2024 National Infusion Center Association (NICA) Annual Conference brought the spirit of vintage Las Vegas to life. Held at the MGM Grand, this healthcare-focused event was reimagined through custom experiential branding, immersive design, and stylish collateral—delivering a bold, sophisticated visual identity that made a lasting impact on attendees and sponsors alike.

Event Brand Design
The Rat Pack, consisting of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford, and Joey Bishop, were a legendary group of entertainers who epitomized the glitz and glamour of 1950s and 1960s Las Vegas. They performed at the Sands Hotel, bringing a blend of music, comedy, and charisma that became iconic. Their shows were known for their spontaneity, humor, and the undeniable chemistry between the members, creating an unforgettable entertainment experience that symbolized the height of Vegas' cultural influence.
Drawing from this charisma of the Rat Pack, LMI+D created a retro-modern event logo that combines vintage Vegas typography with a sleek contemporary finish, setting the tone for every branded element across print, digital, and environmental design.

Event Signage
A series of large-format 24" x 26" posters were created to serve as both functional wayfinding tools and striking visual elements throughout the conference venue. These included directional signage, session announcements, and networking event promotions — each designed to maintain thematic consistency with the Rat Pack-era Las Vegas aesthetic. With bold typography, retro color palettes, and graphic flair evocative of vintage casino signage, these posters added vibrancy and elegance to the space while guiding attendees with clarity and style.

Social Media Campaign
A cohesive pre-event social media campaign was developed to build momentum, drive registration, and create early engagement. Branded content was created and tailored specifically for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter), each aligned with the event’s 1960s Rat Pack theme. Posts featured countdowns, sponsor spotlights, event highlights, and behind-the-scenes glimpses — all reinforcing the event's visual identity and tone. The campaign maintained visual consistency across all platforms while adapting messaging to suit each audience.


Print Design + Marketing
Poker chip shaped drink tickets add a branded touch to the event experience. Pre-Event marketing initiatives included a print post card to generate interest and gain attendee commitments.

Exhibitor Prospectus / Sponsor Sales
A well-designed exhibitor prospectus is crucial for attracting sponsors and generating sales for live events, conferences, or trade shows. It serves as a comprehensive guide that showcases the event's value, highlights sponsorship opportunities, and provides essential information for potential exhibitors.

Branded Merchandise
To extend the event experience beyond the venue, a suite of custom-branded merchandise was designed, including t-shirts, coffee mugs, and stainless steel tumblers. Each item incorporated the #NICA2024 logo and mid-century graphic elements inspired by Las Vegas' golden era, allowing attendees to take home a tangible piece of the brand. These items not only served as memorable keepsakes but also reinforced brand recognition and affinity throughout the event lifecycle.
