Infusion Advocate Newsletter
LMI+D led the visual design for the Infusion Advocate Newsletter, a content-rich, 12-page annual print publication produced by the National Infusion Center Association (NICA). Designed to inform and engage stakeholders across the infusion care community, the newsletter features policy updates, advocacy efforts, member highlights, and more—culminating in a detailed three-page conference agenda.
Editorial publications like Infusion Advocate sit within the broader ecosystem of nonprofit publication design, where clarity, structure, and strong visual hierarchy help organizations communicate complex information to members, partners, and stakeholders.
This edition marks the third consecutive year NICA has partnered with LMI+D to produce its flagship newsletter, reinforcing the studio’s role as a trusted creative partner in healthcare communications and association publications.
Digital Illustration
For the 2024 edition, LMI+D created custom cover art using a digital illustration that blends branded photography of infusion nurses in a real-world clinical setting with NICA’s iconography and color palette. The result is a vibrant, human-centered visual that reinforces the organization's mission while providing a compelling introduction to the content within.
Visual Hierarchy
With a focus on clarity, hierarchy, and readability, LMI+D developed a layout that balances dense editorial content with strategic use of whitespace, color, and typographic cues to guide the reader. This approach reflects the same principles used in annual reports, impact reports, and other mission-driven publications where complex information must be communicated clearly and efficiently.
Print Coordination
In addition to design, LMI+D managed coordination with the printer to ensure the final piece met both budget and production quality goals—delivering a polished, press-ready result that balanced cost efficiency with print excellence.
