#NICA2025 Annual Conference
Immersive Event Branding Inspired by Havana Nights—A Tribute to 1950s Cuba
For the 2025 National Infusion Center Association (NICA) Annual Conference, the energy shifted from the glitz of Las Vegas to the sultry allure of Havana. Held at the iconic Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, this year’s theme—Havana Nights—transported attendees to 1950s Cuba, a time of music-filled nights, vintage cars, vibrant architecture, and Latin elegance. LMI+D reimagined the conference experience with custom branding and immersive design inspired by the golden age of Cuban culture—infusing every visual and touchpoint with rhythmic flair, tropical vibrance, and timeless sophistication. From the moment guests arrived at the Fontainebleau, they were immersed in a world of bold colors, evocative typography, and rich textures that brought the romance of old Havana to life.

Event Brand Design
A Hand-Rendered Art Deco Logo, Classic Havana Imagery, and a Palette Full of Rhythm
The heart of #NICA2025’s visual identity began with a hand-rendered, three-dimensional event logo—an Art Deco-inspired wordmark that echoed the architectural heritage of 1950s Havana. Paired with a richly illustrated branded scene—a bold red vintage American car parked before the Capitolio, surrounded by palm trees and colonial homes—this design captured the era’s style and warmth.

Color Palette + Primary Fonts
A richly curated color palette—inspired by vintage Cuban architecture, tropical landscapes, and mid-century elegance—was paired with approved color combinations for maximum visual harmony. The typographic system includes both primary and secondary font selections, along with usage rules for headlines, subheads, and body copy to maintain consistency across digital, print, and environmental applications.

Brand Guidelines
A Comprehensive System for Consistency, Elegance, and Impact
To ensure cohesion across every design element—from signage to social media—LMI+D developed a comprehensive Brand Guidelines document exclusively for #NICA2025. This guide not only defined the event’s visual identity but also equipped the NICA team, vendors, and partners with clear standards for proper use.
The document opens with an overview of the Havana Nights theme, grounding the brand in its cultural inspiration. It then details proper logo usage, including clear space, minimum size, limited-use versions (such as one-color applications), and a dedicated section on incorrect logo use to help preserve visual integrity.
Special attention was given to event merchandising, with visual examples of how the branding extended across promotional items. Additionally, tailored guidelines were created for website integration, including CVent event platform usage, color adaptations for digital backgrounds, and hero image recommendations.
Finally, the Brand Guidelines include a central Brand Center—a resource hub for logo files, artwork, and imagery to ensure seamless access for everyone involved in executing the NICA 2025 brand experience.
This document didn’t just outline a look—it defined a full ecosystem of design that supported a seamless, elevated, and unmistakably Havana-inspired conference identity.
